About Us

Operation Child Care Project is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to ensuring military families have access to safe, reliable child care. Through comprehensive case management, resource navigation, training, programming, and policy advocacy, we champion real solutions shaped by the voices and lived experiences of military families. Their stories guide our mission and drive meaningful change in child care systems across the country. We serve active-duty, reserve, retired, and DoD civilians, as well as their families.

If you served the mission, we will serve you.

How We Work

Responsive Follow up & Adjustment

Once a child care solution is in place, we stay in touch, making adjustments and offering new support if family circumstances or needs change over time.

Why It Matters

Child care is more than logistics. Child Care is stability, peace of mind, and the foundation of a family’s daily life. For military families, the challenges of relocation, deployments, and irregular schedules make finding reliable care even harder. Too often, parents are forced to choose between their service and their children’s well-being.

That’s where Operation Child Care Project steps in. We believe no parent should feel alone in navigating these obstacles, and no child should go without safe, trusted care. Whether you’re a military spouse, a caregiver looking to serve, or a community partner who wants to make a difference, you are part of the solution.

By connecting families to resources, training helpers, and amplifying stories, we’re not just filling a gap. We’re building a system where every family can thrive and every child is supported. Together, we can reduce stress, strengthen communities, and give military families the care and stability they deserve.
